What We Do
Founded in 2004, Mid Sussex Older People’s Council (MSOPC) is an independent local charity, run by older people, for the benefit of Mid Sussex older people. MSOPC is managed and run by a Board of Trustees and a Management Committee, all of whom are volunteers and have a strong connection with other voluntary and statutory organisations working with local older people. We work with these organisations to ensure that the interests of older people across Mid Sussex are well served.
The Charity contracts with professional consultants in order to deliver its information network, public events and representations effectively.
We organise events around Mid Sussex for all types of interest.

Our Funding
MSOPC fund raises to pay for all its activities and is very grateful for all the grants its receives. Previous grant funders include the Big Lottery, the Childwick Trust, the Sussex Community Foundation, Haywards Heath Town Council, Burgess Hill Town Council and Lindfield Parish Council just to name a few. These grants tend to be payment that contributes towards specific costs, such as those incurred for putting on an event, or to enable us to print and post out our newsletter. However, we do incur costs not covered by these grants and donations towards the cost of these are always most welcome.
Donations can be made in cash or by cheque made payable to MSOPC at any of our events. Just speak to one of the trustees. Alternatively you can post the cheque to the Treasurer – email treasurer@msopc.org.uk and she will provide you with the details.
